This is a superb very large, early 19th-century Sheffield Georgian-George III silver & mother of pearl antique folding knife.
Hallmarked sterling silver blade. Brass liners.
The pearl scales adorned with lovely inlaid circular and navette motifs.
Firm hinge+spring, the blade latches on at 90° and then 180° and snaps nicely open and shut.
The blade is straight and still has a good thickness of silver to it, not flimsy.
Clear hallmarks.
