This is an early 19th-century (c1.800) George III Sheffield silver & mother of pearl antique folding knife.
Sterling silver hallmarked blade.
Genuine mother of pearl scales. Monogram EW.
Excellent strong hinge+spring. It latches at 90° and then 180°, giving a strong snap sound when being opened and closed.
It is a large Georgian knife. The blade still has a good thickness of silver - not flimsy.
HALLMARKS: Sheffield, SILVER fineness 925. No maker's mark stamped this is common with folding knives of this period.

CONDITION: Some wear and dents on the silver blade. One side of the scales has a thin hairline split.
