This is a lovely early 20th-century (c.1910) antique quill cutter - the slender blade designed for shaping nibs of quill pens.
Stainless steel blade.
Genuine mother of pearl scales on both sides.
The hinge is sturdy and taut. The blade latches on at 90° and then 180°, snaps strongly when being opened and closed. No wobble.
The slender blade is still thick and strong, not flimsy.
No personal inscriptions or monograms on the mother of pearl scales.
A good quality and collectable antique knife of just over 100 years old.
DIMENSION: Length : CLOSED 7cm (2 3/4"). OPEN 10.8cm (4 1/4") approx.
CONDITION: Excellent condition. No splits to the pearl panels. Fully working.
