This is an early 20th-century (1939) sterling silver lidded & glass Art Deco rectangular jar. Made by the luxury maker Asprey.
The silver gilt lid with fine engine-turned texture. Original gilding (gold wash) throughout.
A lovely applied/raised gilded monogram DRM to the lid.
The original facet cut glass jar with two-tone frosted and clear glass vertical stripes.
An elegant genuine Asprey 80-year-old vintage bottle.

DIMENSION: 6cm x 4cm (2 3/8" x 1 1/2"). Height: 9cm (3 1/2") approx.

CONDITION: Excellent condition. No dents and no damage to the silver. No damage to the glass. The lid closes firm against the glass rim. The lid is of thick gauge silver and not flimsy. The original gilding remains strong. No splits, no repairs.
