This is a rare early 20th-century (c.1910) Indian Colonial solid silver matchbox cover/case.
Fully hallmarked, stamped 935 (high grade silver), SILVER and a bear mark, attributed to J. Manikrai & Sons, Karachi.
Heavy gauge silver.
Monogram CKG possibly.

J Manikrai & Sons '...Presumably this firm is the continuation of the silversmith Manik Rai. Manik Rai was a silversmith who fled the Kutch area following the 'Chhapaniyo Dukal', the great famine that struck the Kutch area in 1899-1900, and then settled in Karachi.
