This is a superb Hamilton & Co. late 19th-century (c1890) Indian colonial solid silver antique tazza/pedestal dish.
Arts and Crafts style. A pair of loop handles that extend to the base of the dish. Beaded rim.
The base of the dish has elaborate embossment of what looks like feather or leaf pattern, radiating from the center.
Fully hallmarked on the base, with H&C, elephant marks.
The silver tested and shows 900+ silver standard.
Heavy for its size. The foot is not weighted but made with thick gauge silver and so the tazza stands sturdily.
HALLMARKS: Calcutta, STERLING fineness 92.5% MAKER Hamilton & Co.
DIMENSION: Diameter 12.8cm (5") excluding handles. Height 10.2cm (4"). approx.
SILVER WEIGHT: 218g
CONDITION: Excellent condition without damage. No splits, no dents and no solder repairs.
