This is a 19th-century (c1880) Johnson advertising folding knife.
Heavy gauge knife, the casing as well as the blade are made with carbon steel.
The blade stamped JOHNSON WESTERN WORKS, and C.J flag trademark for Christopher Johnson, who founded the business in 1809.
The back of the handle has a 'J' in old script style.
DIMENSION: Length : CLOSED 8cm (3 1/8"). OPEN 14cm (5 1/2"). approx.
CONDITION: Excellent condition, the blade has a good thickness to it, has very strong snaps when being opened and shut. No wobble.
