This is a plain Georgian-George III early 19th-century (c1800) Sheffield sterling silver & mother of pearl folding knife.
Genuine mother of pearl panels on both sides.
The hinge is in excellent condition and sturdy, no wobble.
The blade latches on at 90° and then 180° and gives a very strong snap when being closed.
The blade still has a good thickness of silver - not flimsy.
Free from inscriptions or monograms.
HALLMARKS: Sheffield, SILVER fineness 925. No maker's mark stamped this is common with folding knives of this period.

CONDITION: Good condition for its age. No splits to the mother of pearl panels. The streaks on the panels are reflections and natural textures, not cracks.
