This is a good quality, 19th-century (c1890) Sheffield multi-tool penknife, comprises a blade, a pair of scissors, a button hook, a nail file and a punch.
Genuine mother of pearl casing. High carbon steel tools.

Carbon steel, which unlike stainless steel, can be ground to a very sharp cutting edge. Early/antique folding knives were made using carbon steel.
DIMENSION: Length : CLOSED 5.8cm (2 1/4"). OPEN 9.2cm (3 5/8") approx. Thickness 0.9cm approx.
CONDITION: All tools working except the tip of the button hook has slight damage. All hinges in good condition and have nice snaps to them. Some tarnish. No damage the mother of pearl panels.
