This is a pair of Victorian late 19th-century (1893) sterling silver dwarf candlesticks.
They are in the elegant Adam Style, decorated with ribbon swags, acanthus leaves and urns. Beaded border to the bases and the sconces.
Matching hallmarks on the candlestick bases.
Removable sconces. The inside of the candle holders stamped 11062 and a key symbol.
Free from personal inscriptions or monograms.
HALLMARKS: Sheffield, SILVER fineness 925. MAKER Hawkesworth, Eyre & Co
DIMENSION: Base 8cm x 8cm (3 1/8" x 3 1/8"). Height 9.5cm (3 3/4"). approx.
CONDITION: Some wear and dents. One sconce is slightly bigger than the other, only one scone is hallmarked.
