UNUSUAL AND RARE VICTORIAN MINIATURE SILVER SNUFF POT

A late 19th-century (1898) sterling silver miniature snuff or spice pot.

It has a built-in snuff spoon attached to the base of the lid.

It has no personal engravings or crests.

Fully hallmarked on the body, plus a small Sterling silver standard mark on the spoon bowl.

A rare genuine 118 year old Victorian silver antique miniature pot. 


HALLMARKS: Chester, STERLING fineness 92.5% MAKER Cornelius Saunders & Francis Shepherd

DATE: 1898

DIMENSION: Diameter: 2.2cm (7/8").  Height: 4.8cm (1 7/8") approx.

WEIGHT: 8.4g

CONDITION: Some dents and tarnish. No splits or damage. The lid closes firm and flush with the body. No solder repairs or alterations.
