RARE GEORGE II SILVER BUN TOP CASTER

A good quality 18th-century (1745) sterling silver Georgian bun top caster.

Baluster form, raised on a circular spreading pedestal foot.

Removable lift off cover which is original. The top with pierced patterns arranged in a trefoil shape.

Fully hallmarked. The hallmarks are still pretty good and clear for its age.

It does not have any personal inscriptions or crests. No visible signs of previous erasures.

HALLMARKS: London, STERLING fineness 92.5% MAKER Richard Kersill

DATE: 1745

DIMENSION:  Height: 9cm (3 1/2").  Diameter at the widest: 5cm (2") approx.

WEIGHT: 52g
