Regency Silver



Early 20th-century (1940) solid sterling silver rectangular cigarette case in Art Deco manner.

It has very fine engine-turned decorations throughout the front and back.

There is no personal engravings on the exterior. There is a monogram at one corner in the interior.

Replacement dark blue elastic strap.

Original gilding to the interior.

The hinges are spring loaded so when the clasp is pressed, the lids bounce open. 

Fully hallmarked.

Also stamped with a 'Slipway' trademark and Patent number 9302854

DIMENSION: 14.5cm x 8.5cm (5 3/4" x 3 3/8").  Thickness: 1.3cm (1/2") approx.

WEIGHT: 189g approx.

CONDITION: The case is in good condition. Heavy gauge. No dents and no dings. The lids leave a tiny gap when closed but it is very minor.
