A top quality early 20th-century (1911) sterling silver cigarette case by Sampson Mordan. 

Rectangular shape with smooth rounded corners.

Lovely high quality guilloche engine-turned decorations to the front and back.

It has a streamline, PATENT slim design, the case has thickness of only 9mm approx. (easier to be carried in pockets).

Original gilding to the interior.

Original retaining strap which is in excellent condition.

Fully hallmarked on both sides of the case plus a patent mark.

The hinge is spring loaded (with strong tension), the lid pops open automatically when the clasp is pressed.
