Regency Silver



A late 19th-century (1889) sterling silver and cut glass Victorian perfume/scent bottle.

It is an unusually large bottle, weighing 528g. 

The silver lid and collar are of heavy gauge built, they look and feel chunky and solid.

The cut glass bottle has star burst patterns on the base. It has cloudy marks on the inside.

The silver lid and collar are gilded internally (to protect from any harsh contents).

Original glass stopper.

It is fully hallmarked on the lid and the rear of the collar.

It has an additional Irish retailer mark - West & Son, Dublin. 

It is free of any personal monogram or crest.

CONDITION: Very good condition, without dents or splits. The glass bottle has cloudy marks. The hinge and stopper are good. Gilding is still very strong under the lid. No repair or alterations.
