BEAUTIFUL RARE IRISH GEORGE III SILVER MILK JUG

An early 19th-century Irish sterling silver Georgian antique milk/cream jug.

An early piece dated 1808.

Of oblong bellied form. Reeded rim and handle. Raised on four claw feet. The claw feet embellished with lovely flower motifs.

Beautiful Bright-cut engravings of clover leafs, thistles and acorns.

 Two cartouches, one vacant and the other monogrammed.

Heavy gauge piece at 181g.

A superb genuine 208 year old Irish George III silver cream jug.

HALLMARKS: DUBLIN, STERLING fineness 92.5%. MAKER Richard Sawyer

DATE: 1808

DIMENSION: Length handle to spout: 14cm (5 1/2"). Width: 7.5cm (3").  Height: 11cm (4 3/8") approx.

WEIGHT: 181g

CONDITION: Very good condition except possible old repairs to two of the feet, please see 4th/5th image, in my opinion could be part of the original fabrication, they were well executed, on the inside, only minor and hardly noticeable. Otherwise no splits or holes, no major dents. A quality superb piece.
