MAGNIFICENT GEORGE III SILVER MASTER SALT & LINER

An 18th-century (1773) sterling silver George III master salt by Robert Hennell I.

Oval shape with openwork of decorated ferns and scrolls. Beaded rim. Raised on four Claw & Ball feet. 

A cartouche which has the original monogram.

Fully hallmarked on the base. Clear hallmarks.

Heavy gauge throughout, including the openwork silver which is strong and robust.
