RARE EDWARDIAN SILVER AND IVORY PEPPER GRINDER

An early 20th-century (1904) sterling silver mounted antique ivory pepper grinder.

It has beautiful four-ring sterling mounts, all fully marked with matched silver hallmarks.

The grinding mechanism is original to the pepper mill, by 'Peugeot Freres Brevetes S.G.D.G.'

It has no personalised monogram or crest.

Fully working.

DATE: 1904

DIMENSION: Diameter: 4.6cm (1 3/4"). Height: 9cm (3 1/2") approx.

WEIGHT: 160g

CONDITION: Very good condition. Some age related wear. The lid has a few small fissures. All the silver mounts are firmly and securely fitted without movements. The grinder is fully working.
