Regency Silver



A pair of late 19th-century (1892) Sheffield sterling hallmarked antique silver candlesticks by Hawksworth, Eyre & Co.

They are just under 9 inches tall, Corinthian capitals, each with a realistic Greek fluted column, on a square spreading base, gadrooned rim. 

They have matched and detachable sterling nozzles, with similar gadrooned borders, each with matching hallmarks to the candlesticks.

They have no personal inscriptions or crest.

Green felt bases.

DATE: 1892

DIMENSION: Height: 22.7cm.  Base: 9.5cm x 9.5cm (approx.) 

WEIGHT: 1090g or 35 troy oz combined (filled)

CONDITION: Repair to the bases. General wear and light knocks consistent with age and use. One column has small splits. The other column without splits. Both have loose fillings that rattle when moved.
