Regency Silver



Mid 20th-century (1947) Egyptian solid silver pierced dish.

Having a wavy rim, intricately pierced work decorated with Bright-cut patterns.

It stands on three triangular feet, each individually hallmarked.

The dish is fully hallmarked on the underside: the left mark is for Cairo and the arabic numerals ٩٠٠ is for .900 silver purity; the middle lotus symbol is for silver; and the date letter to the right.

The dish is made in heavy gauge silver and the pierced work as a result is not flimsy but strong and sturdy.

A fine quality genuine Egyptian solid silver dish.

HALLMARKS: Cairo Assay Office. SILVER fineness 90.0%.
