RARE GEORGE III SILVER POUNCE POT

Early 19th-century (1805) sterling silver pounce pot by the renowned maker Peter, Ann & William Bateman.

The pot decorated with flat chased scrolls and flowers.

Monogrammed B

Fully hallmarked. The hallmarks on the lid match those on the pot.

The interior of the pot and lid has the original gilding which is still quite strong.

A rare genuine George III, 211 year old English silver pounce pot.


HALLMARKS: London, STERLING fineness 92.5% MAKER Peter, Ann & William Bateman

DATE: 1805

DIMENSION: Diameter: 3.2cm (1 1/4").  Height: 7.6cm (3")  approx.

WEIGHT: 25.7g
