BEAUTIFUL ANTIQUE SILVER 'FLORAL' MILK JUG

An early 19th-century (1836) sterling silver English Georgian William IV milk or cream jug.

Squat circular form, on a collet foot.

The body heavily ornamented with hand chased and repousse flowers, scrolls and leaves.

Gadrooned rim. 

The handle has lovely details of leaf capping at the top, and similar foliate decorations.

There is an inscription on the base, which is original to the period, plus a complete set of Georgian hallmarks.

Great quality jug. Heavy gauge.
